Happy holidays from the team at X-Laser!
How much fun can we have with 8 5 watt lasers and a little circle truss? We find out with LD Mike Chappell of Dark Matter Tech as he shows off some timecoded shows he programmed and a bit of busking on his custom MA onPC setup. Mike is awesome enough he'll be sharing his show file with everyone, we'll be making it available for download here in a few days.
Monday night, Lasers Live is back on Facebook and Youtube! This time our guest is LD Mike Chappell showing off some of his timecoded and busking programming of our circle truss laser rig on his MA console and answering your questions. You're not going to want to miss this one!
Part two of our lighting networking essentials series is now live! Specifying and Setting Up a Lighting Network. In this part of the series we cover specifying your lighting network to provide enough bandwidth, the differences in how some fixtures handle physical networking connections and how to play out your network layout. In part three we'll cover how to troubleshoot common networking issues.
Hey there everyone, Adam here, President of X-Laser. Happy Labor day to you. I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the amazing team at X-Laser that makes what we do possible. Past, present and future, these are the folks that are setting up lasers at trade shows, coding late into the night, soldering resistors smaller than a grain of rice, turning blocks of aluminum into laser parts, even clearing wasp nests out of returned lasers. Thank you for all you do. Also a big thanks to our users who are working today. In this industry, a lot of holidays are work days and we appreciate you. X-Laser is closed today to celebrate, but we'll be back tomorrow morning. Thank you
The annual report, every laserist dreads it but there's no need to. We made a clear and simple guide to walk you through the process and help you keep your variance in good standing. Check it out at www.x-laser.com/annualreport
Travel to another galaxy with this new laser show by our summer design intern, Gabby. Programmed entirely on Obsidian Onyx. You're going to want to go full screen for this one
More and more stage lighting fixtures are controllable by Art Net and Streaming ACN than ever before. This connectivity can provide for faster load ins, simpler cabling and faster programming, all you need is to understand a bit of basic networking. We've created a three part series to introduce the essentials of networking with a focus on the elements relevant to stage lighting networks. In this first part of the series we cover the fundamentals of networking in general, covering the layers of a network, basic architecture and the components of a network. In parts two and three we'll cover how to specify and setup a stage lighting network as well as how to troubleshoot common networking issues.
Join us for Lasers Live! Our guest this time is Chris Short, one of the creators of the Radiator. The Radiator is a compact yet feature rich laser synthesizer designed and built by an expert team of hardware designers and artists. Their kickstarter met their funding goal in only 9 days and shows no signs of slowing down as they work to bring abstract laser art to a new generation of artists. We'll be talking with Chris about Radiator, how the project developed and where it's headed now that they've met their funding goals, a Q&A session and of course he's going to make some beautiful laser art for us to enjoy, live!
